Rapid Deployment Transporter Transforms Recovery Industry

When LPD first developed the Rapid Deployment Transporter (RDT) it was at the request of a major UK roadside service company, RAC.

They were looking for a vehicle recovery transporter that could be carried inside their patrol vans and could be quickly, safely and easily deployed at the roadside when required. Years on and the RDT has changed the way the recovery industry operates in the UK as more and more recovery organisations have discovered the benefits of this product.

The RDT has been designed so that it can be carried in the rear of most Light Commercial Vehicles thereby providing a multi-purpose vehicle for the repair/recovery business. The on-board winch assists in both trailer deployment and vehicle loading so minimising manual handling and enabling the casualty vehicle to be towed away within 10 minutes of arriving at the scene. The innovative steering system of the RDT ensures excellent handling and stability of the van and loaded transporter combination.
